One half of this dang blog is supposed to be about booze, so I figured it was time to chime in on my own for the first time about a wine I’ve loved for many years. I used it to toast my final hours of summer and you should, too.
Whatever your thoughts on Riesling are, this one is worth trying. Working in a wine store for a few years and having the snobbiest of the wine snobs swear by it allowed me to shake off prior memories of sappy-sweet Ries and the all-day hangovers that ensued. Strub’s Soil to Soul Riesling is a gem—and a longtime staple on the BT by the glass menu—with Riesling’s characteristic lower alcohol content (hi, lower calories), excellent pair-ability, and petrol-esque finish that balances out the sweet with a little edgy elegance. It’s just so damned drinkable, you should probably go ahead and order a case.
Google it, find somewhere near you that carries it, and buy them out.

An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a friend who has been conducting a little homework on this.
And he in fact bought me breakfast simply because I stumbled upon it for him…
